Colin Wheldon James has always been passionate about history. An honors graduate of the University of Wales, Swansea, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in history, a diploma in local history, and a certificate in philosophy and history. He has been a member of the faculty at his alma mater since 2002, serving as a lecturer in the area of Medieval European history. Colin has also been the executive secretary of the Swansea Branch of The Historical Association since 2008.
In 2011, Colin collaborated with Christopher James to establish Pastoral Audiobooks, a vehicle for CDs of their informative and entertaining historical talks on a range of topics. Colin has since been active in researching, narrating, editing and marketing the CDs, as well as working to develop the business. He aims to expand the company internationally in the coming years. Meanwhile, he maintains affiliations with a number of professional associations, including the Society for the Study of the Crusades and the Latin East, the Royal Institution of South Wales, the Royal Historical Society, and the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors.
