Terry Layton

A skilled strategic thinker, Terry Layton started his career in management consulting in the U.K. He went on to work in executive and consulting roles in multiple countries, including Australia, Fiji, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kenya, Kiribati, Maldives, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Thailand, Tonga and Uganda. In 1998, he supplemented his extensive international experience by earning an MBA in strategic management from the University of New England. Terry is best utilized by governments that seek his assistance in public financial management, governance issues, strategic management and economic development. He has also been a part-time senior lecturer in managerial and financial accounting at the Universities of Nairobi and the South Pacific’s Suva Campus.

Since 2012, Terry’s primary role has been that of team leader of a project in the Republic of Kiribati. He has been working to streamline public financial management for the nation’s Ministry of Finance and Economic Development. Terry also helps clients improve their accounting system procedures through planning and budgeting. He is able to work closely with staff members to enhance their professional skills.
