As the managing director of Pathways Community Interest Company (CIC), Yvonne Clarke utilizes her expertise in health equalities in order to reduce inequalities through the promotion of positive relationships between health and work. She aims to improve access, outcomes and experiences for clients. With a vision to recognize challenges and find local solutions to promote positive health, positive lifestyles, positive employment and positive families, Pathways CIC was formed in 2006 as a social enterprise and has grown to offer a number of services for both the employed and unemployed, including workplace well-being workshops, cultural awareness training, and community engagement packages. Ms. Clarke holds a postgraduate degree from the University of Wolverhampton and a Bachelor of Science with honors from Open University.
A well-respected member of her field, she has consistently been recognized for her accomplishments. Specifically, Ms. Clarke was the recipient of the Community Care Mental Health Award and National Training Award in 2006, the Health Service Journal and Local Government Chronicle Healthy Award in 2007, and the LGC and HSJ Sustainable Communities Award and Positive Action Award in 2008. Ms. Clarke was given the Job Centre Plus Partnership Award in 2010 and the North West Public Health Award in 2012.
