Anne Hovda serves as the health, safety and environment (HSE) manager of Statoil, an international oil, gas and energy company that works to find more oil and gas, as well as new energy. In order to satisfy its various missions, Statoil conducts intensive research and development, refines gas, and manages technology. According to the company website, “Statoil is a long-term and reliable natural gas supplier which enjoys a strong position in some of the world’s most attractive markets. The group is the second biggest gas supplier in Europe and the sixth biggest in the world.”

In her current capacity, Ms. Hovda calls upon her expertise in HSE management, occupational health, offshore drilling, and petroleum and risk management in order to ensure that new buildings are constructed according to government rules. In doing so, she champions Statoil’s initiatives and maintains the company’s standard of excellence.
