Art provides an outlet for those who are dealing with loss, tragedy and stress. Ms. Anderson discovered the beauty and importance of art after the passing of her beloved son, whom she lost only 24 hours after she’d given birth to him. She found that art has a healing power; since then, she has turned to her art to overcome traumatic situations that she is faced with.
Today, Ms. Anderson paints portraits, as well as still-life, flora and fauna, and the occasional landscape pieces. She is a self-taught artist and sculptor who initially worked in the finance sector. Since setting out on her mission to produce beautiful artwork, Ms. Anderson has become affiliated with numerous organizations, including the Australia Guild of Realist Artists, the Royal South Australian Society of Art, the Adelaide Art Society, Artists Voice and the Red House Group.
