Jeffrey PolitskyJeffrey Politsky, MD, M.Sc., FRCP©, serves as the associate director and co-director of research for the Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group, as well as the medical director of Atlantic Neuroscience Institute. In his current roles, he utilizes his expertise in neurology, epilepsy, electroencephalography and functional brain-mapping in order to efficiently handle all clinical and administrative tasks for the two medical centers. Notably, Dr. Politsky discovered the mechanisms by which the brain and the individual respond to neurological dysfunction. Truly dedicated to his chosen field, Dr. Politsky actively works with the Brain Tumor-Related Epilepsy Consortium.

After earning a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science from the University of Toronto, Dr. Politsky went on to receive an MD from the University of Western Ontario. He realized his prolonged fascination with brain function, cognition and neural networks, and subsequently completed a residency in neurology at the University of British Columbia, followed by a fellowship in epilepsy at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Politsky is board-certified in neurology and neurophysiology through the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada, and is also board-certified through the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. Additionally, he is board-certified through the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists, and is licensed to practice medicine throughout the United States and Canada.
