With more than 25 years of experience within the field of engineering, Anthony Tony Fairclough serves as the principal civil and geotechnical engineer for Tonkin + Taylor, an environmental and engineering consultancy with locations throughout New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia and the wider Asia-Pacific region. Comprised of some of the best engineers, scientists, planners and project managers, Tonkin + Taylor focuses on the development of water resources and specialist civil engineering, and provides quality environmental consultations. Noted for his profound expertise in geotechnical and civil engineering, Mr. Fairclough is relied upon each day to offer trusted technical support during the design and construction of private and public infrastructure projects. He is responsible for mentoring high-performance civil and geotechnical engineering design teams.
Mr. Fairclough is currently involved in the drafting of several industry technical guidance documents or standards. To date, his career path has enabled him to be part of countless project teams which have improved society and/or the environment, in particular the design/construction of public infrastructure projects such as roads, rail lines, sanitary landfill facilities, roads and bridges.
