Josephine Pallard is a true inspiration. Having been born and raised in Baguio City, a city located in northern Luzon in the Philippines, Dr. Pallard’s passion for fighting against social injustice developed early in life. She found living under the authority of President Ferdinand Marcos to be very oppressive, and decided to leave the Philippines in 1967 to pursue her educational goals in Canada. She found the courage to face the challenges of life as an immigrant through the lessons she was taught by father, who told her to defend her beliefs.
