John Cushing is an award-winning attorney who has been serving the Chicagoland area for the last 38 years. He focuses his practice on personal injury law, including wrongful death, automobile accidents, table saw injuries, premises liability, products liability, construction negligence, medical malpractice and workers’ compensation. Understanding the tremendous impact that these injuries have on the everyday lives of his clients, he takes a compassionate approach to his relationship-building and an aggressive approach in the courtroom to help them receive the best possible restitution and outcome for their case. Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Cushing has assisted automobile, trucking and train crash victims, people injured at work and on construction sites, and victims of defective pharmaceutical drugs, defective and dangerous products, and medical negligence. With extensive trial experience in both state and federal courts, Mr. Cushing has achieved incredibly high settlements for his clients, most notably obtaining a $21 million verdict for a family of a Cicero woman who died as a result of a defective pain medication patch produced by two subsidiaries of Johnson & Johnson. As a result of Mr. Cushing’s hard work, the pharmaceutical manufacturer discontinued its use of transdermal patches as the delivery system for the pain medication, Fentanyl. Since then, the company has switched to a new delivery system that will prevent patients and their families from unintended overdoses that could lead to death.
