In 2002, when all tanneries closed, Lyudmila and her husband opened the last Australian tannery and have since been making the best boots in the world behind a long Australian tradition. Today, Ugg Australia® is the only sheepskin footwear manufacturer with its own tannery, which is located right in Melbourne. There, the materials are cut, stitched, glued and dyed with extreme precision, yielding quality Australian-made boots.
